Production Department is now offering a vacancy to be filled in the most suitable candidate among the existing IPMOMI’s employees who are extremely interested to fill in the post of:
CHEMIST TECHNICIAN 1
Grade : 5 - 7
CHEMIST TECHNICIAN 1

To be assigned at Production Department, reporting to and under the supervision of the Chemical Engineer, the position is responsible for the following:

Job Requirements:
* Senior Technical School with proper experienced or D3-graduate of Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
* Up to five years of experience preferably in a coal fired power station or similar environments or automated systems.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Run test on plant steam and water circuits to determine the chemical constituents and take corrective actions as required maintaining them within prescribed limit.
* Monitor and maintain make up water system, pre treatment, SWRO, DWRO and demineralises, including service water and potable water to determine the chemical constituents and take corrective actions as required to maintain them within prescribed limit.
* Take manual samples as necessary; analyze the quality of the boiler water, make up water system, cooling circuit, water treatment, waste water treatment and the associate system.
* Monitor and maintain the chemical parameters of the closed cooling and circulating water circuits and take corrective action as necessary to maintain them within prescribed limits.
* Take preventive maintenance for the on line analyzers and prepare chemical solutions as required.
* Carry out test plant coal, fuel oil supply and incoming chemicals; including new oil; as necessary to ensure quality control.
* Take samples and analyze gas to be used in the generator to determine the gas constituents.
* Troubleshoot water treatment system, sub systems and devices using generally accepted method, instructions manual and common sense to locate the cause of malfunctions. Report the cause of the malfunction to the appropriate corrective action.
* Record and up date the inventories and safe handling procedures for chemical supplies; ensure compliance with dangerous goods regulation. Perform incidental clerical duties as required, and or, assigned.
