1. SUPERINTENDENT, GEOTECHNICAL DUMP ENGINEERING & STABILITY - 1 Position.
Coordinate, plan, direct, control and develop geotechnical activities in pit or overburden stockpiles in Surface Mine to achieve of departments short-term and long-term goal to provide safe operation and technical supports to Management.
Specific Requirements:
• S1 Degree in Geology or Mining with at least 7 years of practical geotechnical experience in mining industry.
• Having Leadership skill, Communication skill, Decision-making skill, Risk Assessments, Administration skills (Cost control/budgeting, manpower, purchasing order and justification, etc.), Analytical Thinking.
• Technical skill (engineering geology, mine design, geotechnical design and analysis, geotechnical softwares, etc.)
• Excellent communication in English both oral and written.
2. SUPERINTENDENT, GRASBERO SHORT TERM - 1 Position
Provide and verify assigned resource estimates of deposits and assigned models as required, in order to ensure consistent, accurate and acceptable estimations of company resources.
Specific Requirements:
• A tertiary (minimum S1 or Bachelor degree and preferably a post-graduate Masters or PhD qualification in geosciences, geologic engineering or mining engineering with at least 10 years experience in the mineral geology industry (mining and/or exploration).
• Proficiency in geologic and geostatistical principles.
• Experience in ore control and short term mine planning is desirable,
• Must be able to meet the qualifications for Competent Person and Qualified Person for the purposes of certifying resource/reserve statements, as defined in the JORC and other applicable international standards.
• Demonstrated ability in the production of technical reports, good problem solving and judgmental skills, ability to communicate highly technical procedures and results to others both inside and outside the immediate group.
3. ENGINEER GEOTECHNICAL - 4 Positions
Provide geotechnical recommendation and/or services to the PTFI underground and surface mine by directing the design, supporting and monitoring of geotechnical, aspects both underground and surface mine facilities and its operations to ensure safe and efficient activities.
Specific Requirements:
• Graduate in Geological, Mining or Civil Engineering with 3 years of experience.
• Have knowledge of bask theory of rod mechanics and solid knowledge in geotechnical engineering.
• Be able to communicate with field people, lead subordinates and develop or train subordinates.
• Must be energetic & whiting to work in the remote field.
4. GEOLOGIST UNDERGRQUND (UG) - 1 Position.
Observe, collect and record geologic facts in the areas assigned to provide accurate, updated and timely information as a basis for the development of the company s resources and reserves.
Specific Requirements:
• A tertiary (minimum S1 or Bachelor degree) qualification in geoscience with at least 2 years experience in mineral geology (mining or exploration).
• Thorough and comprehensive understanding of the theories and principles of geology.
• Good ability in rock/mineral identification, mapping, sampling, recording and logging techniques.
5. ENGINEER, HYDROLOGY - 1 Position.
Perform and supervise Surface and Underground Mine hydrology activities to ensure all the data and report requirements are collected in timely and quality manner to support the departments objective.
Specific Requirements:
• Graduate in Geology or Mine Engineering with at least 2 years experience n Hydrology and Hydrogeology especially at mining industry.
• Computer literacy such as Vulcan, Minesight, Autocad and Microsoft Office.
• Be able to communicate with field people, lead subordinates and develop or train subordinates.
• Must be energetic & willing to work in the remote field
6. SENIOR GEOLOGIST - 7 Positions.
Develop and maintain Database System in a timely and accurate manner to support Geo data requirement. To ensure and maintain all geological data QA/QC system with international standard, all geological data, and to provide accurate 3D Geologic models of the assigned ore deposit and its features.
Specific Requirements:
• A tertiary (minimum S1 or Bachelor Degree) qualification in science/engineering, at least 5 years experience in an appropriate field, and proven ability to take facts and produce interpreted computer models from this data.
• Working exposure in multiple mining/exploration locations and/or commodities is preferred
• Proficient musing various modeling techniques (block model, numerical model, etc. as appropriate).
• Sound understanding of the subject as signed (either a block- modeling and parameter estimation, geotechnical modeling, hydrologic modeling, or river/sediment transport and deposition modeling).
• Working knowledge of Geotechnical and Hydrology methods, mining methods and mining regulations.
7. CHIEF ENGINEER, CIVIL GEOTECH - 4 Positions.
Coordinate and control Civil-Geotechnical or non mining projects from Portsite to Grasberg/Surface Mine area by providing engineering recommendation, in order to ensure all Civil-Geotechnical aspects for non mining project are comply with company and international standards and to support departments short and long-term goals.
Specific Requirements:
• Graduate in Geotechnical Engineering with minimum 3 years working experience on Civil-Geotechnical projects, preferably in mining industry.
• Good understanding in geotechnical and geological knowledge, field and laboratory procedure, and practical geotechnical engineering software.
• Be able to communicate with field people, lead subordinates and develop or train subordinates.
• Must be energetic & willing to work in the remote field.
8. CHIEF ENGINEER, HYDROLOGY - 1 Position.
Monitor, control, analyze, plan and supervise Hydrology mine surface activities such as Grasberg dewatering project to maintain ground water level at Mine Surface area and to provide guidance for future use to ensure surface mining activities is in safe condition,
Specific Requirements:
• Graduate in Geology or Mine Engineering with at least 5 years experience in Hydrology and Hydrogeology especially at mining industry.
• Computer literacy such as Vulcan, Minesight, Autocad and Microsoft Office.
• Be able to communicate with field people, lead subordinates and develop or train subordinates.
• Must be energetic & willing to work in the remote field.
9. SUPERINTENDENT GEO DATA SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT & QA/QC DATA SERVICES - 1
Position Develop and implement methods and procedures or geologic operation within assigned area, to ensure validity and reliability of geologic data and geologic operation method, and transfer of geologic operation knowledge to develop skill and competency of Geologic Operation s staff
Specific Requirements:
• A tertiary (minimum S1 or Bachelor degree and preferably a post-graduate Masters or PhD) qualification in geosciences with at least 15 years experience in the mineral geology industry (mining and/or exploration).
• Mastery of geologic principles
• Sound background, based on experience, in the practical application of data collection recording, compilation (interpretation), and reporting techniques.
• In depth understanding of computer database systems as applied to geology.
• Good problem Solving skills.
• Excellent human relations and presentation skills.
• Skills in motivating and providing direction people.
• Ability to teach, and to implement change to all levels of employees.
