Askep Forest Protection (Riau Based)

Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor degree (four years college or university) preferably graduated from forestry, biology, environmental science, natural resource management, OHS program study, or any related disciplines.
8 (Eight) to 10 (Ten) years Experience in forestry of agriculture labor, forest fire management (prevention and suppression) and health and safety management.
Ability to communicate with Bahasa Indonesia and English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts, statistical, geometry and trigonometry
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instruction furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Possess knowledge about Environmental Management system, Environmental Audit and assessments, Environmental Legislation and Implementation (AMDAL, ISO 14001, FSC, CoC and Controlled Wood, LEI, etc)
Possess knowledge about occupational health and safety management system, accident investigation, HIRARC, OHS management program.
Able to safely work with helicopter for fire patrol and fire suppression assignments
Ability to use of GPS, fire fighting tactics and strategy, use water pumps and hose, fire behavior, incident commond system, fire equipment maintenance, fire fighter training techniques, safety briefings
Computer use (email) & data entry (spreadsheets)and document preparation.

Job Description :
Assist to plan, communicate and coordinate the implementation of the EMS, policies and procedures to ensure that the operations if Riaufiber in the estate is carried out in a manner consistent with the EMS, Policy and the overall organizational environmental strategy.
Responsible to the Environment Department, Fire Protection Section and Occupational Health and Safety Department for environmental performance information and all reporting requirements of estate accomplishments and progress in the implementation of estate environment programs, objectives and targets and all matters relevant and related to estate environmental performance.
Responsible for such other duties and responsibilities defined in the eMS, procedures, work instructions and such other duties that may be assigned related to the position of estate environmental officer.
To implement the fire management program in the estate. Major duties include fire prevention, fire preparedness and suppression, protection of life and property and other emergency response situations, the objective of the position is to minimize the costs and losses from fires through implementation of emergency response and OHS SOPs.
To improve estate performance of occupational health and safety and pro-active in preventing of plantation fire or minimize plantation/land fire. The incumbent will actively participate and ensure that estate OHS meetings occur on a monthly basis and provide training program to estate staffs in implementing OHSAS 18001 and worker’s safety awareness. The incumbent will assist with estate management/staff liaison with other department.
