Pemerintah Akan Rekrut 300.000 PNS Baru.
Pemerintah pusat berencana merekrut pegawai negeri sipil (PNS) sebanyak 300.000 orang pada tahun ini. Pelaksanaan seleksi akan dilakukan pada Oktober 2007. Pelaksanaan seleksi CPNS kali ini dilakukan di daerah dan tidak terpusat seperti tahun lalu.
''Dari 300.000 formasi, sebanyak 225.000 untuk tenaga honorer dan 75.000 formasi untuk PNS baru. Khusus untuk PNS baru, formasi sebanyak itu akan dibagi lagi yakni 50.000 formasi dialokasikan untuk mengisi kebutuhan kabupaten/kota dan juga provinsi,'' kata Menteri Negara Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara (Meneg PAN) Taufiq Effendi.
Ia mengemukakan, dibanding proses seleksi pada periode lalu yang dilakukan secara terpusat dengan pengendali dari tingkat nasional.
Seleksi PNS periode kali ini baik proses ujian, maupun pengumuman hasil ujian seleksi akan dilakukan oleh daerah/departemen yang bersangkutan, sehingga kewenangan Kementrian PAN hanya sebatas menetapkan jumlah formasi.
Taufiq mengatakan, dengan pendelegasian proses seleksi di daerah maka akan memperkecil peluang kongkalikong antara peserta dengan pihak lain. Beda dengan proses seleksi zaman dahulu yang dilakukan secara terpusat, indikasi kongkalikong berlangsung lebih leluasa.
Taufiq mengatakan, saat ini jumlah PNS di Indonesia mencapai 3,7 juta orang. Yang terdiri dari 1,8 juta merupakan tenaga guru dan tenaga medis, dan sebanyak 1,9 juta orang adalah birokrat.
