PT Berlian Laju Tanker Tbk is an international Liquid Cargo Shipping Company, established in 1981, with operations primarily throughout Asia and the Middle East, as well as Europe. The Company is operating 91 tankers with total tonnage of more than 2.08 million DWT and is the largest provider of seaborne transportation of liquid cargoes in Indonesia, one of the largest in the intra-Asian chemical tanker segment, both by tonnage and by number of vessels, and has the third largest sub-20,000 DWT chemical tanker fleet globally.

In 1990, the Company became the first shipping company in Indonesia that listed its shares on Jakarta Stock Exchange and Surabaya Stock Exchange. The company is also listed in Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited starting the third quarter of 2006. In addition to operational offices in Jakarta, Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Taiwan, Shanghai, and Beijing, the Company also operates marketing offices in Dubai to serve Middle East customers, and Glasgow, to serve European customers.

Marine Superintendent

Key Responsibilities:
* Informing vessels of National, Class International regulations and rules in force
* Informing vessels of Company’s policy and regulations in force
* Liaise with Masters on maintenance of LSA / FFA equipment
* Providing Masters with navigational information where required
* Conducting vessel’s inspection to confirm compliance with National/International regulation ( MARPOL, SOLAS, STCW and ILO etc ).
* Implementing the ISM Code and OMI preparation
* Company Security Officer (CSO) as per ISPS code, for vessels’ assigned
* Attending to shipboard visits / inspections / surveys as per Company’s policy and submit written reports to the Marine / Safety Manager
* Issuing necessary instructions pertaining to vessel safety matters
* Vetting of ships’ monthly returns and plan vessels future requirements
* Monitoring vessels survey status pertaining to deck, cargo gear, LSA and FFA equipment
* Vetting of charts and publications requisitions
* Verifying that the maintenance is being carried to in accordance to the PMS
* Liaise with Masters on charts / publications updating navigational issues


Job Requirements:
* Proficient in Microsoft program
* Having OMI experienced
* Min. 5 years as Chief Officer for tanker/LPG vessel with International trade

* Master degree in ANT I major
* Proficient in report writing
