PANASONIC AVIONICS CORPORATION is headquartered in Lake Forest, California, with offices in Washington; regional centers in Dallas, Dubai, London, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo and Toulouse; system production facilities in Osaka; as well as field service, maintenance and sales facilities worldwide. As part of our expansion plan, we are currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the following position in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Field Engineer

Requirements
· Academic background in avionics and multiplexed audio/video, software controlled systems and test equipment, preferably at diploma/degree level and, OR, IT Diploma/Computer Science Degree with a good knowledge of Linux. A good understanding of SQL, PHP, XML and database driven systems is a plus. Strong IT skills will be an advantage.
· Experience in aviation industry is preferred.
· Pro-active individual who is independent and is capable of resolving technical and engineering issues with ease.
· Fluent in English and Indonesian language


Job Summary
· Develop and maintain good working relationship with assigned customers
· Maintain customer satisfaction through accurate, detailed and timely responses to problems and queries and elevate situations within PAC Management if and when required
· Provide technical guidance and assistance to assigned customers. Troubleshoot and work to resolve system problems occurring on aircraft (and/or workshop)
· Report issues/problems that cannot be cleared locally to the engineering sites and/or regional/head offices as appropriate
· Participate actively in any retrofits and/or the entry into service of new systems for assigned customers
· Work closely with all departments at the assigned customers to enhance their practices and knowledge of the operation of our systems
· Work actively with the assigned customers to gather reliability data for all PAC equipment
· Evaluate the needs of the customers at all times and work in a pro-active manner with all the PAC departments
· Advise the customers on future projects that they may conduct and guide them through the PAC processes for such projects
· Report all information gathered from customer’s organization (line maintenance, engineering, cabin crew, repair shops, planning, spares/logistics, purchasing) to the regional office and other offices (Bothell, Lake Forest and Osaka)
· Contribute towards attaining PAC goals and objectives by assisting and supporting any other PAC department, as required
· Exhibit professionalism at all times in order to enhance the assigned customer’s perception of PAC
· Any other duties as and when assigned by the Company

This position is to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
