The American Red Cross Tsunami Recovery Program (TRP) had been established to direct the organization’s response to the South Asia tsunami disaster. The TRP activities focus on integrated community recovery and preparedness interventions in tsunami affected countries in Asia and East Africa in collaboration with Red Cross and non-Red Cross partners. The Indonesia TRP Delegation operates from offices in Banda Aceh, Calang, Lamno. It also has liaison offices in Jakarta, and other areas in Aceh province in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross.

The American Red Cross seeks dynamic individuals to fill the :


Disaster Management Sr. Program Officer - Training
(Aceh)

Requirements:
University degree in any development studies
Three year training management experience with an International organization on disaster risk reduction
Training module, training visual aids and IEC materials development experience
Good facilitation skill
Excellent writing and communication skill in English and Bahasa
Good knowledge on participatory training including PRA
Good knowledge on geographic and environment of the area of assignment
Excellent knowledge on computer operation (windows, excel, power point and graphic illustrator
Working condition:
SPO-Training will closely work with PMI Chapter, Banda Aceh and spend 80% working time in the same office

Responsibilities:
To support in the planning and management of ICBRR training program which includes community & school
To assess training need and designed training course for PMI, American Red Cross staff and community people
To develop and collect IEC materials, training visual aids and training modules for ICBRR program
To make frequent field visit to assess quality of the training (at least 30% of working days) and provide technical guidance to the field staff
To carry out regular impact assessment of ICBRR training and recommend the solution based on findings
To organize and facilitate project workshop, training and meeting
To prepare ICBRR training and workshop report
To carry out any other program related task given by the immediate supervisor
