VACANCY AS PROCESS TECHNICIANS IN SHELL PETROCHEMICAL SINGAPORE

Shell first established its presence in Singapore in 1891. Since then, we’ve grown into one of the island’s largest foreign investors employing about 2,000 staff. Assets held by Shell Companies in Singapore exceed US$7 billion.

We are entering into a new and exciting phase of growth with the launch of the Shell Eastern Petrochemicals Complex (SEPC) project, the scope of which consists of the construction of a 900kt/a ethylene cracker complex (ECC), including a 230 kt/a benzene extraction plant, a 175 kta butadiene extraction plant, a 750 kt/a mono-ethylene glycol plant (MEG) and restructuring part of the Pulau Bukom Refinery.

We are now recruiting for our Mono Ethylene Glycols (MEG) Plant on Jurong Island.

PROCESS TECHNICIANS
(Singapore - Jurong Island)

Responsibilities:

You will operate in our MEG plant.

Requirements:


Candidates with 10 or more years of Petrochemical Plant operating, OR candidates with Ethylene Oxide/Ethylene Glycols (EO/EG)/MEG Plant experience as detailed below will be an added advantage.


Ethylene Oxide Unit
Ethylene Oxide Reactor, Hydrocarbon compressor, Ethylene/Carbon Dioxide Absorbers and strippers and saturated steam system.

Mono Ethylene Glycol Unit and or related processes
Handling Ethylene Glycol reactors, vacuum distillation columns and product rundown storage or similar plant process equipments.

Utility Equipments Unit
Familiar with Thermal Oxidizer, Flare, water polishing units, ultra high-pressure steam and steam turbine.
Candidates with less than 10 years’ Petrochemical Plant Operating experience will also be considered for junior positions.

Having the above and the following experience will be an added asset:

in assisting planning & executing major turnaround or shutdown activities

preparation of pre-commissioning and hot- commissioning procedures
