1. Mining Equipment Specialist (Grade 10)
(Others - Saudi Arabia)


Responsibilities:


Reports to: Service Operations Manager


Primary Purpose of the job:
Provide the highest level of technical guidance and support pertinent to the Mining Industry, which will manifest itself in total user satisfaction, terms of equipment performance, availability, productivity, and cost per hour.
Develop excellent relationships with end-user in the Mining sector at all levels, t all times, and project the highest standards of professionalism, technical competence and interpersonal skills.


Principal Accountabilities:
Develop, in conjunction with all operational Department Heads, a comprehensive and flexible coverage plan of the Mining Industry sector. His primary task will be to provide accurate, timely and practical technical guidance aimed at assisting users to obtain the best possible value from their CAT equipment.
He will be required to make on-the-spot policy decisions as and when the situation demands to maintain user confidence and satisfaction.
Closely monitor equipment performance during the warranty period through regular, pre-planned TA inspections, liaising with operational Departments and Branches in promptly resolving warranty issues.
Effectively troubleshoot product problems, liaise with Service Department to promptly identify correct “fixes”, and to carry out on-the-spot minor repairs or adjustments needed, identified during routine site visits/equipment inspections.
Advise users on proper maintenance practices, to assist in establishing appropriate maintenance programmes, and to guide users toward cost-effective solutions for unscheduled repairs.
Carry out other assignments as deemed necessary by the Service Operations Manager.
Be willing and capable of passing on his skills to Trainees under his supervision, in line with his Department’s Traineeship programme, or be receptive of being trained in coaching and assessing in the workplace.


Liases with:
Regional Sales Manager to communicate user production requirements, equipment performance, competitive activity and general user satisfaction.
Parts and Service Sales Manager for equipment inspection schedules,
machine condition reports, and the development of Customer Service Agreements for the Mining sector.
Parts Operations Manager in for general Parts availability, specific needs/problems and forecasted parts requirements.
Requirements:

Candidate MUST HAVE served at least 3-4 years Apprenticeship in a Caterpilar Dealership and possess minimum 3 (three) year work experience after it's completion in Engines and TRasmission overhaul in a Caterpilar Dealership (CAT.., Trakindo, etc.)
He should be familiar with using CAT Diagnostic tools to conduct troubleshooting and repairs to CAT Machines and/or Engines, including, where applicable, the use of the Electronic Technician software
Fluency in English is essential

2. Field Service Engineer
(Others - Saudi Arabia)



Responsibilities:


Reports to: Section Supervisor


Primary purpose of the job:
Service Engineer is responsible to carry out accurate repairs in the allotted time frame, and diagnose problems on all types of units that he has been trained on.


Principal accountabilities:
Troubleshoot and repair failures in the safest, quickest possible manner.
Evaluate Parts for re-usability.
Order Parts using correct and current micro-fiche etc.
Return unused Parts on job completion to facilitate job closing and invoicing.
Maintain his field vehicle if made available in a clean and presentable condition.
Write Service or Job Reports on each job.
Maintains good customer contact and relations (if applicable).
Uses special tools in a safe respectful manner, reporting any damage or breakage immediately to his supervisor.
Work overtime when required.
Observe Company and safety rules at all times.
Maintain good housekeeping.
Be willing and capable of passing on his skills to Trainees under his supervision, in line with his Department’s Traineeship programme, or be receptive of being trained in coaching and assessing in the workplace.

Electricians and Service Control
Requirements:

Degree either in Mechanical, Automotive or Electrical Engineering
10 years CAT dealership experience, the last 5 of which must have been in a specific area, i.e. Engines/General Bay or Transmission and Field Service experience


Conclusion:
In this position, the candidate will be expected to work alone without supervision. Most of his work will be on Dealer products. A large percentage of his time would be spent on troubleshooting.
