, is seeking an aggressive, highly motivated individual for the position of Production Manager. This position is to be based out of the Esco manufacturing facility in Bintan Island, Indonesia.
The Esco manufacturing facility in Bintan Island, Indonesia, is the largest manufacturer
of lab ventilated enclosures in Asia, the 2nd largest in the world, and employs a highly
motivated work force of 330 employees. The facility exports products to more than 95
countries worldwide, with the bulk of output bound for the North American, European
and Japanese markets. The vertically integrated facility contains sheet metal fabrication, welding, powder coating, assembly, quality control operations all under one roof.
Mechanical Design Engineer
(Bintan)
Responsibilities:
- Mechanical design and product development: from conceptualization, initial design, to prototyping.
- Prepare mechanical design, fabrications and specifications for production.
- Develop specific mechanical components / mechanisms to be integrated with final product.
- Carry out performance optimization, cost analyses, prototyping and design support for production.
- Overseas travelling opportunities for market research.
Requirements:
- Masters / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant, with course specialization in Design preferred
- Familiar with 2D / 3D CAD / CAM software, preferably Vertex or Solid Edge and AutoCAD
- Innovative, resourceful and able to work independently.
Strong writing, documentation and communication skills.
- Relevant work experience of 2-3 years in a product development / R&D environment will be a plus.
- Experience with any of the following will be a plus: sheetmetal fabrication, mechanical product design, computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
